Hello! My name is Dr. Susan Washko, and I am an aquatic community ecologist. Growing up near the Cuyahoga River, I appreciated aquatic ecosystems from an early age, and wanted to do what I could to protect them. Now, I teach ecology and natural resource topics to master's and undergraduate students at Western Colorado University. Together, my students and I do research with aquatic invertebrates to inform conservation and land management in the West. If you want to know more, see my Previous Research and Outreach. Thanks for visiting my site!
